Promise Opens Doors Launches TESOL Core Certificate Program

This week marks an exciting time for Promise Opens Doors as we officially launch our online TESOL Core Certificate Program.

Vice President, Ernest Wagner, shares, “I couldn’t be more excited about this moment. The launch of our program has been a long-time coming, and our team has worked hard to ensure that we deliver the TESOL Core Certificate program at the highest quality.”

In July 2016, Promise Opens Doors signed a licensing agreement with TESOL International allowing us to deliver the Core Certificate Program (Young Learner’s Course). “We are privileged to work with TESOL International,” says Wagner, “and our partnership with them will allow us to provide an English language teachers training service that is second to none.”

The program itself consists of 145-hours of required online coursework and practicum components, which can be completed in 4-6 months. Our program specifically focuses on teaching ESL to young learners, and includes coursework in child development, language acquisition and learning, and instructional approaches for young learners. We recommend that current or prospective teachers and administrators, worldwide, who have little to no formal training in English Language Teaching (ELT), consider applying. We are now accepting applications for the first cohort.

Administrator, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, remarked, “I am thrilled that the launch of our TESOL program will equip teachers to provide a quality education to children seeking to learn English as a second language.”

Our team has worked diligently over the past seven months to provide an outstanding online program. In addition to our fantastic instructors and administrators, we offer our students and alumni numerous resources and assistance through our Career Center. We are committed to helping our graduates find the right employment opportunities once they have successfully received their certificate.
